Cathy Gilligan
Cathy has been the calm and guiding hand for GB Custom Furnishings for the past forty years. Taking the reins from her father and founder of the business then known as Gilligan’s Blinds, Cathy is the sole director of GB Custom Furnishings since 1975. Cathy is very involved in the day to day business, constantly developing new services and finding practical solutions that will enables the creativity of her clients to become reality and loyally upholds our mantra of “Your Vision. Our Expertise.”
John Gilligan
John has been involved in the family business for as long as he can remember, working with his father and then alongside Cathy to uphold the mantle of excellence passed on when Jack Gilligan retired from the business. John’s primary responsibility is fabric joining, pattern matching and cutting. He is a craftsman in every sense of the word and still works part time at GB Custom Furnishings as a much valued member of our team.
Katrina Holley
A long term and loyal member of the GB Custom Furnishings team, Katrina skilfully manages the financial aspects of the business. For more than 14 years, Katrina has monitored cash flow and attended to accounts receivable and accounts payable. Today Katrina is closely involved in establishing systems and business policy including purchasing (Stock Fabrics) that will enable GB Custom Furnishings to grow from strength to strength for many, many more years to come.
Michael McLachlan
Michael Joined GB Custom Furnishings in 2009 and has nearly 10 years experience in the Window Covering and Soft Furnishings industry. Michael is our Customer Service officer and customer liaison who personally attends to custom-quoting and follows up with worksheets and works alongside our production manager.
Joy Limpanawat
Our efficient and dedicated Production Manager since 2002, Joy co-ordinates the workflow through our busy workroom, scheduling production lead times and managing manufacturing costs.
Lyndsay Bull
Since 2003, twice per week, Lyndsay carefully packs and delivers precious custom-made items to our clients in Metropolitan Melbourne often returning with fabrics which need to be made into other new and wonderful creations designed by our clients. Lyndsay also carefully cuts the components used when manufacturing custom-Blinds.
Nick Bippus
Our most recent addition to the GB Custom Furnishings team, Nick Bippus joined in 2011 in the role of Sales & Marketing. Nick brings 20 years industry experience having worked with one of Australia’s most respected Window Covering distributors.
